Highline Lake State Park Comments & Reviews
Visited Highline Lake State Park Campground lately? We'd love to hear about your adventure. Did you find us useful? Did we forget something? Anything our community should know before heading out to Highline Lake State Park?
We visited in 2012: so a while back but it was an oasis with good space in between sites. The kids played in the water. We had a very good tome over there with a 26’ motorhome.
Best regards
DATE VISITED = Sept. 2020, site #23
$37 (price reflects site fee + $9 per day extra fee) which is expensive for dry camping
Trails for hiking or mountains biking, swim beach, kayaking/boating — lots to do here.
Our site was large, but bordered the semi-busy entrance road, which could be noisy. They also used flood-irrigation one day, which put the whole back half of our site under a few inches of water for a few days (it did not impact our camping at all.)
The showers are FREE now. We did not use them, but they appeared well-kept.
Verizon was spotty. 3 bars 4G when working.
Critters Spotted: a zillion baby toads, great horned owls, great blue heron, deer, osprey
Camping options include a large site, shower, restroom, fire ring, picnic table and water nearby. Highline Lake is within walking distance. Trails give you the opportunity to see wildlife, enjoy a vigorous walk or bike ride.
Bring a fishing pole, a good book or your camera to enjoy your time.
