Dry Lake

Best Steamboat Springs Area Campgrounds - Dry Lake

Dry Lake Campground has 8 campsites and is located 8 miles northeast of Steamboat Springs.  The campground is fist-come, first- service and usually open late May through October. All sites are a short walk to the lake (when there’s water). A nice forest of Aspen, Spruce and Fir trees also provide shade to most sites. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and small RVs (maximum length of 20 feet).  Amenities include a vault toilet, but no water.

Dumont Lake

Dumont Lake Campground has 22 spacious campsites and offers spectacular views of several Rocky Mountain ranges including the Continental Divide. The sites can be reserved and the campground is usually open mid May to early October. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs.  Amenities include drinking water and vault toilets. Firewood is also available for sale form the camp host.

Granite

Granite Campground is first-come, first-serve and has 8 single-family campsites along the shore of Fish Creek Reservoir. There are 4 “walk-to’ sites (tent only) and 4 drive-up sites. High-clearance vehicles are recommended to access the campground. Amenities include a vault toilet and trash service.

Hahns Peak Lake

Hahns Peak Lake Campground has 26 campsites along the shore of the  scenic 160-acre lake. Spruce, pine and fir trees also are scattered about the campground. The campground is usually open mid June through September. Amenities include vault toilets. There’s also a boat ramp at the campground. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs.

Hidden Lakes

Assuming you can find it, Hidden Lakes Campground has 9 single-family campsites and is located next to a beautiful mountain lake in the Mount Zirkel/Park Range at an elevation of 9,100 feet. All campsites are first-come, first-serve and can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs.  Amenities include a vault toilet (no water or trash service available).

Hinman Park

Hinman Park Campground is located near Elk River in the Lincoln National Forest and has 13 single-family campsites. The area is popular for fishing, hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. The primitive campground is first-come, first- serve and usually open early June through October. Amenities include two vault toilets (no water available).

Meadows

Meadows Campground has 30 campsites and is located at 9,300 feet on Rabbit Ears Pass near Steamboat Springs. Sites include a combo of pull-through, back in and walk-to (tent only). The campground is first-come, first-serve and usually open late June to Mid October. Amenities include fault toilets (no water). There’s also a camp host that sells firewood.

Pearl Lake State Park

Pearl Lake State Park (Poverty Bar) Campground has 37 single-family campsites located next to Pearl Lake at an elevation of 8,100 feet. All sites have nice views of Pearl Lake and the surrounding mountains. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring, grate and 14×14 tent pad. Campsite 6 and 16 also have a Yurt. Amenities include drinking water, flush & vault toilets and and a picnic area. Nearby Steamboat Lake marina also has fishing boat rentals, canoe rentals and a camp store with ice, firewood and groceries.

Seedhouse

Seedhouse Campground has 24 campsites (15 are reservable) and is located near the Middle Fork of the Elk River in the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest. The large campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. There are also 3 group sites available. The campground is usually open late June to early October. Amenities include potable water (two hand pumps) and vault toilets. A camp host also sells firewood.

Steamboat Lake State Park Dutch Hill Campground is located along the shoreline of Steamboat Lake and has 85 large campsites and 10 cabins available year round. There are also walk-to (tent only) campsites. The Wheeler Loop (sites 116-155) has electric hookups (50 amp). Most all campsites have great views of the lake or Hahn’s peak. Some campsites are very close to the water. Campground amenities include drinking water, vault toilets, coin operated showers and a laundry. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. The campground is also next to the marina and boat ramp.

Steamboat Lake – Sunrise Vista

Steamboat Lake State Park Sunrise Vista campground has 113 single-family campsites and is located on a hill about 1/4 mile from Steamboat Lake. The electric hookup sites are 76-113. Campground amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and an amphitheater. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. The campground is also close to a marina and boat ramp.

Summit Lake

Summit Lake Campground has 15 single-family campsites (6 are ‘walk-to’) and is located on a hill overlooking the lake in the Steamboat Springs area. The campground is first-come, first-serve and usually open mid July through October. Amenities include vault toilets and trash service. There is no potable water available.

Teal Lake

Best Steamboat Springs Area Campgrounds - TealTeal Lake Campground has 17 single-family campsites on a hill overlooking the lake in the Lincoln National Forest. Some sites have lake views. The campground is first-come, first-serve and is usually open late June through October. Group campsites are reservable online.
