Somewhere in the rugged Santa Rosa Mountains, just East of Borrego Springs, Ca. is very likely the remains of an ancient Emerald Mine. This mine was supposed to be old when the area was owned by Spain 300 years ago. Does anyone have any info or sources to research this story?
