A trip to Natural Bridges National Monument in Utah is one of the many places in the United States that’s a bucket list experience. It’s a bit of a drive to get to, but we have recently added campsite photos and information about the campground to help with your trip planning.
First off, visitors are encouraged to take advantage of the visitor center located ¼ miles away from Natural Bridges National Monument campground. The center offers great insight about the Monument and you can check out slide programs, publications, postcards, videos and various exhibits.
Natural Bridges National Monument campground is open year-round and has 13 campsites (first-come, first-serve) for tents, trailers and RVs (up to 26 feet). Each site has a fire grill, picnic table, and tent pad. Keep in mind that the campground does not have water or hookups. There is water at the nearby visitor center.
In addition to camping, visitors can enjoy auto tours, hiking and the ranger program at the visitors center. The auto tour offers a 9-mile scenic drive on paved roads with access to all the bridges. Visitors can see each bridge by walking a short distance to an overlook. Also, a view of an archeological site (Horse Collar Ruin) can be seen from an overlook. As for hiking, one could say the whole area is a hiking dream. From climbing rocks to dirt paths to canyon ditches, Natural Bridges National Monument feels like the world biggest playground.
Finally, the five main attractions of Natural Bridges National Monument are Sipapu Bridge, Horse Collar Ruin, Kachina Bridge, Owachomo Bridge, and the Solar Powered System. Visitors have access to all these attractions by either hiking the trail, via the auto tour or the ranger (guided) program.
Happy camping and safe travels,
Camp Ranger
