Celebrating 500 Campgrounds, 500 Facebook Fans

It seems like just yesterday that we started CampsitePhotos.com. Photo trip after photo trip, campsite by campsite and year by year, we’ve steadily realized our dream to provide an invaluable resource for campers around the country.

Today we’re happy to announce that we’ve reached 500 campgrounds! Our coverage includes campgrounds from the California coast (our home state) to Texas to Wisconsin to the Florida keys – and we’re just getting started. Our lead photographer Greg is on the road as we write this (probably camping somewhere beautiful) getting the next round of campgrounds and filling up memory cards with campsite photos. His latest trip will bring in an additional 200 campgrounds over the span of 135 days (great job Greg!)

Also, the 500 milestone comes in two’s. We’re running a photo contest on Facebook that’s bringing lots of new fans – roughly 4 or 5/day, and last week we hit 500 fans!

We hope you enjoy our updates, and as always we welcome your input and feedback into what and how often we share.

We’re looking forward to the next milestones, and can’t wait to share them with you all – who contribute so much to our success and help pave the road we take towards making our website better and more useful.
