Covid-19 Campground Reopening Update

Many US Forest Service, BLM and CORE campgrounds are starting to reopen in May, including those in California, Arizona, Montana, Utah and other states. Campgrounds at State Parks (and a few National Parks) are reopening too. Campgrounds in Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Zion, Glacier and Yellowstone remain closed.

California State Parks and campgrounds will “reopen with little advance notice and visitors should expect a different state park experience”.  Visitors are advised to check the status of their destination before leaving home.

Please visit our Campground Directory page to search for campgrounds and view campsite photos.

Also let us know where you’d like to camp and we’ll check on the status!

  1. Hi,

Do you know where I can find a list of California BLM of Forest Service campgrounds that are open or expect to open in the next few weeks? I had two reservations for Butano SP but due to the current situation both were recently canceled. Love your site and refer to it frequently!
