Minnesota State Parks campsite availability alerts are now available with Campsite Assist. Campers can get a text & email alert when a campsite becomes available at all Minnesota State Park campgrounds that take reservations.
All you need to do is click on the Campsite Assist tab to get started. You can also visit a specific Minnesota State Park campground page and click on the “Create Alert” button.
Campsite Assist is an advanced online tool that finds available campsites when someone cancels a reservation at sold-out campgrounds. Campsite Assist will then alert the user (via text and email) when a campsite becomes available. The alert also includes a link to the reservation website or availability results page so you can immediately try and reserve the campsite.
Campsite Assist currently offers two types of scans – a “Specific Scan” and a “Matrix Scan”.
With the Specific Scan you choose an exact arrival date and length of stay for one campground. You’ll also have the option to select the scanning frequency (every 3 minutes, 13 minutes or 33 minutes). An alert will be sent to you (text & email) if a campsite becomes available for your specific arrival date and length of stay.
The Matrix Scan allows you to scan for availability at one campground within a set date range (up to 7 days). You’ll also have the option to select the scanning frequency (every 15, 45, or 90 minutes). You will get an alert (text & email) if a campsite becomes available for any duration during the date range you selected.
If you’re a frequent camper, you can also purchase a Scan Pack and save up to 40%.
In addition to Minnesota State Parks campgrounds, Campsite Assist provides availability alerts for most of the other State Parks and National Parks throughout the country. Campsite Assist also scans for available campsites at thousands of Forest Service and other campgrounds in the United States.
