North Pines Early Access Lottery is open for the full camping season in 2024 (April 16 – September 30). Applications need to apply by December 12, 2023 on Rec.gov. The one-time lottery fee is $10 (non-refundable).
All of North Pines 80 campsites will be available to book through the early access period. However, 50 of these will be unavailable during the lottery from April 8 through June 30 due to flooding risk.
Successful lottery applications will have an opportunity to make a reservation for the campsites in North Pines Campground during a less-competitive early access period (January 2 – February 1, 2024). Any remaining availability will be released on the usual on-sale dates listed below.
Approximately 2,500 to 3,000 applications will be selected and then contacted on December 22. The notification will include your early access date and time during the January 2 – February 1 period. You can also log on to your Rec.gov account to view lottery results.
Each day of the early access period will have six start times, with 20 people assigned to each time slot, (7 am, 9 am, 11 am, 1 pm, 3 pm and 5 pm PST). Once your access period begins, it will remain open from that point until the end of the early access period. The later a time slot you have, the more people will have access to make reservations. For example, on January 2, 20 people will have an opportunity to make a reservation from 7 am to 10 am PST. At 10 am, an additional 20 people will have access (for a total of 40 people), and so on, until all 3,000 awardees have an opportunity.
