Good news on the Covid-campground closure front. Sedona area campgrounds will reopen on May 20. These include Cave Springs, Manzanita and Pine Flat campgrounds. All three are along Oak Creek – in Oak Creek Canyon. You can expect other USFS campgrounds in Arizona (and other states) to open up later in May and early June.
With 82 campsites, Cave Springs is one of the more popular campgrounds in scenic Oak Creek Canyon. Many sites are right along the banks of Oak Creek. Amenities include drinking water, vault toilets, showers and a friendly camp host.
Manzanita campground has 19 small campsites, with most along the banks of Oak Creek. There’s also a nice swimming hole or two near the campground and Slide Rock State Park is less than a mile away. Amenities include drinking water and vault toilets. The camp host also sells firewood.
There are 45 campsites available at Pine Flat campground and it is also located along the banks of Oak Creek. Amenities include water and vault toilets. Ice and firewood area also available for sale from the camp host.
