Cove Lake Recreation Area Overview

Cove Lake Recreation Area Campground is located next to Cove Lake and has 36 spacious campsites set in a forested area. Group camping and cabins are also available. The group site can accommodate up to 50 people and 22 vehicles.

Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot-water showers, and trash collection. There’s also a boat ramp, boat trailer lot, boat/kayak rentals, swim beach, reservable picnic pavilion, miniature golf course and a concession stand with food service. Cell service is not available in the area.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site has a paved parking spur (ranging in size from 30 to 70 feet), table, fire ring and grill.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation includes boating (no wake), canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, fishing, swimming, hiking, biking and wildlife viewing. Magazine Mountain (the highest point in Arkansas at 2,753 feet) is also nearby.

Other campgrounds in the area include Lake Dardanelle State Park, Waveland Park, Outlet Area, Shoal Bay, Aux Arc and Piney Bay.
