Cranfield Park Campground Norfork Lake Arkansas

Cranfield Park Overview

Cranfield Park Campground has 71 campsites (68 with hookups) and is next to the crystal clear waters of Norfork Lake. It’s also the closest campground to the city of Mountain Home and offers plenty of pleasing views of the lake from its well-shaded river island sites.

The campground is generally open early April to late October. Amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot-water showers, trash collection and a dump station. There’s also a marina, boat/launch ramp, boat trailer lot, picnic area/playground next to the campground. An amphitheater is also located at the campground. Cell service is good in the area.

The spacious campsites are spread out nicely throughout the campground and can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs.  There are 68 sites with electric hookups and 60 of these also have water hookups. Only 3 sites don’t have hookups. Each site also has a parking spur, table, BBQ pedestal, fire ring and grill.

Other campgrounds in the area include Panther Pay Park, Bidwell Point Park, Henderson Park, Gamaliel and Robinson Point.

Cranfield Park Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

The area is renowned for its world-class trout fishing and Norfork Lake offers a variety of water sports fun including water skiing, swimming, paddle-boarding, kayaking, scuba diving and fishing. Other activities include hiking, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

Norfork Lake covers 22,000 acres with 550 miles of shoreline. Densely wooded hills and hollows surround the lake in the Ozark Mountains. The North Fork River feeds into the lake, and beyond the dam, extends on to connect with the White River.
