Gamaliel Park Campground has 64 campsites beneath tall trees and is located next to beautiful Northfork Lake. All of the sites have electric hookups and most also have water hookups. Those campsites that don’t have tree shade have canopies over the tables.
The campground is generally open early April to late October. Amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot-water showers, trash collection and a dump station. There’s also a marina, boat launch, picnic area, playground and swim beach. Cell service is good in the area.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a gravel parking spur, table, BBQ pedestal, fire ring and grill.
Other campgrounds in the area include Cranfield Park, Bidwell Point Park, Henderson Park, Panther Bay Park and Robinson Point.
The area is renowned for its world-class trout fishing and Norfork Lake offers a variety of water sports fun including water skiing, swimming, paddle-boarding, kayaking, scuba diving and fishing. Other activities include hiking, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
Norfork Lake covers 22,000 acres with 550 miles of shoreline. Densely wooded hills and hollows surround the lake in the Ozark Mountains. The North Fork River feeds into the lake, and beyond the dam, extends on to connect with the White River.
