Lake Chicot State Park Campground is next to the lake and has 85 campsites (full hookups) in a wooded setting of wild pecans and cypress trees. There are also 14 cabins available to rent.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a parking spur (up to 55 feet), table, fire ring and grill. Campground/park amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, showers, trash collection and a dump station. There’s also a park store, marina (boat rentals available), bait shop, fish cleaning station, swimming pool, boat dock, boat launch ramp, fishing pier, basketball court, softball field, picnic areas and a visitor center.
Eight are barrier-free, housekeeping cabins with a lakeview (many with lake view patios). Six cabins offer two bedrooms. All cabins are fully equipped with comfort in mind, including linens, cooking utensils, and tableware. These heated and air-conditioned units stand near the lakeshore and offer a sweeping view of the cypress-shrouded waters plus access to bank fishing at its best. All cabins have fireplaces, to make a winter visit to the park even more enjoyable.
Outdoor recreation includes boating, kayaking, canoeing, paddle-boarding, fishing, swimming, water sports, hiking, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. The Mississippi River is also nearby.
