Mississippi River State Park has a total of 45 campsites and 5 cabins spread out in three campgrounds.  Group camping is also available at Maple Flats Campground.

Beech Point has 17 campsites (1-17) on a wooded peninsula and all have full hookups. All have nice views of the lake. Each site also has a paved parking spur, table, lantern post, tent pad, fire ring and grill. Flush toilets, showers, water and trash collection are also available.

Lone Pine has 14 primitive sites (18-31) next to the lake. Hookups are not available.  Each site has a table, lantern post, fire ring and grill. Water, vault toilets and trash collection are also available.

Storm Creek Lake has 11 sites (33-45 and 5 camper cabins) with full hookups. It is located in a forested area near Storm Creek Lake. In addition to full hookups, each site has a table, lantern post, fire ring and grill.  Flush toilets, showers, water and trash collection are also provided.

The camper cabins have a queen bed and bunk beds, dining table, heating and air conditioning, outdoor grill, fire pit, and picnic table. The four-unit bathhouse with hot showers, dressing area, sink, and toilet is also nearby.

Other park amenities include boat ramps, picnic / day use areas, a swim beach and visitor center.

Boat, kayak and paddle board rentals are also available at Bear Creek Lake and Storm Creek Lake.

Mississippi River State Park – Area Recreation and Activities

Outdoor recreation at the park includes boating, kayaking, paddle-boarding, fishing, water sports, swimming, biking (bike rentals available), hiking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. The visitor center also includes interactive exhibits, a gift shop, and a large, multi-purpose area for hosting meetings, family reunions and other group events.
