Toad Suck Park Campground has 48 spacious campsites is located on the banks of the Arkansas River and Trail of Tears National Historic Trail. Several campsites are water front.

All 48 campsites have water & electric hookups. Each site also has a paved parking spur (ranging in size from 30 to 80 feet), shade structure, table, fire ring, lantern posts and grill. Campground/Park amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot-water showers, trash collection, a dump station, multiple playgrounds, 5 group picnic shelters and a boat ramp.  Cell services is also good in the area.

The name Toad Suck actually spans back to the early 1800s when the water in the river would get very low and create a “suck.” A suck was a great place for toads and frogs to live in the shallow water.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation includes boating, kayaking, canoeing, paddle-boarding, fishing, swimming, water sports, hiking, biking and picnicking. Wildlife viewing can also be good.  Historic exhibits include the Trail of Tears.  Cadron Blockhouse is also nearby in Cadron Settlement Park. It is replica of a structure that was built in the late 18th century.

Other campgrounds nearby include Cherokee Park and Maumelle Park.
