Bonita Canyon Campground Chiricahua National Monument Arizona

Bonita Canyon Overview

Bonita Canyon 014

Bonita Canyon campground is located in the Chiricahua National Monument and has 25 single-family campsites for tents, trailers and RVS (up to 29 feet). Group camping is also available. An individual campsite will accommodate a maximum of 8 people, 2 vehicles, and 2 tents.

Vehicles longer than 24 feet (RV or vehicle + trailer) are NOT permitted on the scenic drive beyond the campground.  The total maximum vehicle length for trailer or RV is 29 feet and only a few sites are that long. Confirm length of campsite is long enough for both your trailer and vehicle. Most sites are narrow and will not accommodate side by side parking. Some sites are difficult to back into due to sharp angles. Crossing the two creek bed dips can be difficult for longer vehicles.

Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets and a dump station. There’s also a amphitheater, visitors center, pay phone, and mix-used trails. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate.    Generators are okay from 8am to 8pm. There are no hookups and the closest dump station is in Wilcox, AZ.  Filling of RV water tanks is not permitted.  Cell service is poor.
