Double Springs campground has 15 single-family campsites set in a pretty forest at 7,200 feet in the Coconino National Forest. Campsites can accommodate for tents, trailers and RVs. Each also has a table, fire ring and grate. Campground amenities include drinking water and vault toilets. Cell service is not available.
This is an old school campground (built in the 1930s) with the feature attraction being Double Springs. The springs surface just above the camp. Wildlife viewing is great here including bird watching (including hawks and the occasional bald eagle), elk, deer and other cute little creatures of the forest. You can also hike a few miles along the Lake View Trail to Mormon Lake. When there’s water in the lake you can enjoy fishing, kayaking, canoeing and windsurfing. Other outdoor activities include hiking, horseback and biking.
Dairy Springs campground is also about a mile away and Flagstaff is 24 miles down the road if you need supplies.

Loved this campground! We had a reservation at dairy springs but that CG was packed out, checked this on a whim and feel in love. Big spaces, away from the road, quiet, just lovely. Hosts were friendly too. Not much you can do about the vault toilets but we would come back again for sure
