Fort Tuthill County Park campground offers rustic camping under tall ponderosa pine trees and is located just a few miles from Flagstaff. There are about 100 campsites for tents, trailers and RVs. Group camping is also available. There are no electric hookups, but 8 RV campsites have water & sewer.
This popular campground takes reservations from early May through mid October. Amenities include drinking water and vault toilets. Ice and firewood are also available for sale at the campground. Each campsite has a table, fire ring and grate. Cell service is good.
There’s lots to see and do at the County Park. The County Fair is held here, as are rodeo events. There’s also an archery range, military museum, model railroad club, bike park, equestrian area and cross country course, and the Pepsi amphitheater. Other activities include hiking, biking, disc golf, picnicking and wildlife viewing. You can also drive a few miles to Lake Mary for some fishing and water sports.
Other campgrounds in the area include: Canyon Vista, Lakeview (Lake Mary), Pine Grove (Lake Mary), and Forked Pine.
