Gordon Hirabayashi Recreation Area includes a small campground set on the site of a former World War II Japanese relocation/internment camp. There are 12 campsites for tents, and small trailers/RVs (less than 22 feet) and located in a beautiful valley along a dry creek bed.
The campsites are also close to several ruins of the relocation camp and among stands of large Oak trees. Each campsite has also a table, food storage locker, fire ring and grill.
Campground amenities include vault toilets, but no water (bring your own). The recreation area has a picnic area, historic ruins and biking/hiking trails. Horse corrals area also available. Cell service is fair.
Other campgrounds in the area include Colossal Cave Mountain Park, Molino Basin and Spencer Canyon.
