Camp host, Joe, at Groom Creek Horse Camp is awful. He hates all campers with dogs and will take photos and call the dog catcher immediately within minutes of seeing your dog off leash in your own campsite. He watches and waits for every possible infraction that a camper may make. And if it is ever necessary to approach him for any reason or have a question, he does not take any interest or make any effort at all to help in any way. I think he hates most people in general and should not be working with the public. Also, whatever you do, do not arrive early! Even if you are 10 minutes early and your campsite is available, he will make you park across the road and wait for the exact minute that is the check in time. It is ridiculous for him to be so rigid and he has taken all the fun out of camping at Groom Creek.
Will Joe be there in 2022? Hope not!
