Lees Ferry Campground has 50 campsites and is located in Glen Canyon on a hillside overlooking the Colorado River. All sites are first-come, first-serve. Group sites include 8, 10, 12, 16 and 20 are group sites. Campsites 43, 45, 47 and even 49 have really nice views of the river.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. There are no hookups. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate. Some have shade structures. No ground fires allowed outside of grate. Campground amenities include drinking water (spigots), flush toilets and a dump station. A boat launch ramp is within 2 miles. Gas and a supply store are also available at Marble Canyon (about 5 miles away).
Lees Ferry is where adventurers launch their rafts to navigate the waters of the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. Just upstream from the launch ramp is the history site of the ferry crossing. The area offers world-class trout fishing upstream to Glen Canyon Dam. Other activities include backpacking, hiking, picnicking, wildlife viewing and stargazing.
