Molino Basin Campground has 36 single-family campsites and is located at an elevation of 4,500 feet on the slopes of the Catalina Mountains. The single-family campsites are first-come, first-served. One group camping area is reservable. The campground usually opens in April and closes the end of October.

The campground is  spread out over a fairly large area so most sites have nice privacy. Campsite can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each campsite also has a table, food storage locker, lantern post, fire ring and grill. Several of the campsites are walk-in sites and sites 1 and 2 are for picnic only. About a third of the campsites have decent room for RVs or trailers. There is an intermittent creek in the campground and there are some nice hiking and mountain biking trails. Molino Basin campground also has group camping and flush toilets, but no drinking water.

Other campgrounds in the area include Colossal Cave Mountain Park, Gordon Hirabayashi Recreation Area and Spencer Canyon.
