Moqui Group Overview

Moqui Group Campground has 3 campsites (Simmons, Spooner and Ernst) and is set in beautiful forest of ponderosa pine, oak and quaking aspen.

Each of the three individual group sites can accommodate up to 50 people. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 22 feet). Amenities include potable water, vault toilets and trash collection. Picnic tables, BBQ grills, fire rings and horseshoe pits are also available. Cell service is fair in the area.

Other campgrounds in the area include Rock Crossing and Clint’s Well (first-come, first-serve).

Moqui Group – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes backpacking, hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, stargazing, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Tonto Natural Bridge State park is also approximately 45 minutes away and offers what may be the world’s largest travertine bridge. The community of Happy Jack, Arizona has a gas station, two convenience stores and two restaurants.
