Date of stay: Oct. 6-9, 2019…price $12.50 reflects 50% Access Pass discount…This is a perfectly lovely campground, but we hit it on its last open week and during a school break so there were lots of kids running (and scooting and biking) around, so it wasn’t the peaceful experience we were hoping for. At another time, I’m sure we would have enjoyed this park as much as we’ve enjoyed others of its kind. The sites weren’t quite as large as some of the other AZ USFS campgrounds, but we had plenty of room in our pull-thru, which we’d reserved. This CG offers a dump and water fill, flush restrooms, as well as a nice shower house ($3 for 5 mins., change machine out front, we looked in but didn’t use.) Firewood and ice were for sale. There were 3-4 hosts, all of those we came in contact with were very nice and helpful. Sites were well-maintained with fire rings, barrel grills, and concrete picnic tables. There is a 1-mile nature trail in the park, and the Arizona Trail transects the park as well.

We arrived Thursday evening on a holiday weekend and all spots were filled up. Luckily we had a reserved spot beforehand. Most of the reservable spots are accessible to larger rigs. Spot 36 is very narrow and would not advice that one if In a large class A or a longer fifth wheel.
We stayed in 18. The picnic table is on the back side but there is a large field directly behind. Great for the kids to run around. Shade is great throughout the day and shades the camp spot great.
Considering that it is a holiday weekend there weren’t as many people as we were anticipating. Everyone was respectful of quiet hours and each other. The camp host were very friendly and even came around on the 4th just before sunset and handed out glow sticks for the kids. The showers were closed but bathrooms all open.

There are water spigots throughout the campground that water is free to get if you are camping in the campground. You are also able to fill up freshwater tank at the entrance by the showers when you arrive. Dump station is onsite.

Verizon service was terrible. Some spots were able to get LTE but not guaranteed.

Does the campground have extra parking for a third car and boat. Thx
