Roper Lake State Park Comments & Reviews
Visited Roper Lake State Park Campground lately? We'd love to hear about your adventure. Did you find us useful? Did we forget something? Anything our community should know before heading out to Roper Lake State Park?
Just stayed overnight here on the way to & from the White Mountains. This campground is supposed to Feature the lake, but you can’t see it from the campsites- even those right Next To the lake, like 13 & 14- Because of the Thick layer of brush & coattails surrounding the shore! I understand that Some brush, etc is good for the Environment, but surely it could be Thinned enough for Campers to enjoy views of the lake from their campsites??
Also, the campground map we were given upon arrival had Different Numbers or Letters assigned to the Sites compared with those identifying Your Photos, which is very confusing!
As Momads2 said SIX YEARS AGO, campsites identified on this website in the Hacienda loop are identified by letter. Roper Lake campground identifies the campsites in Hacienda by number, NOT letter. I can’t believe that this website hasn’t corrected this in over six years.
Hello Greg,
Not sure what you’re looking at but we have the Hacienda Loop campsites identified by letters – and have for quite some time. As an example – here’s a screen shot of the Roper Lake State Park photo grid with ‘Hacienda Site H’ called out.
And when you click on that image to enlarge, it has ‘Hacienda H’ labeled for the site as shown in the screen shot below.
