Willow Beach Campground & RV Park is located on a hill above the Colorado River in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. The campground offers really nice views of the mountain and desert landscape, as well as glimpses of the Colorado River. It has a modern restrooms with flush toilets and showers, laundry, drinking water, a payphone, and campground host.
Willow Beach campground is set up in 6 loops (A to F). The 28 full hookup RV sites are in loops A to D. There are also 9 walk-to tent only campsites in loops E & F. Parking is available for the walk-to tent sites. All sites have a paved parking spur, table, fire ring and grate.
Down the hill from the campground (about 1/2 mile) is the marina, launch ramp, restaurant, gift shop and convenience store. There’s also a nice picnic area and small beach on the Colorado River. Boat rentals are available at the marina.
Outdoor recreation includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, hiking, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
In addition to Willow Beach campground, the 7 other campgrounds in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area include Katherine Landing, Cottonwood Cove, Las Vegas Bay, Temple Bar, Echo Bay, Callville Bay and Boulder Beach.
Lake Mead National Recreation Area offers striking landscapes and brilliant blue water. The area offers a fabulous outdoor playground spread across a landscape of geologic wonders, Lake Mead, Lake Mohave and the Colorado River. The unusual combination of desert and water is home to 900 species of plants and 500 species of animals. Lake Mead National Recreation Area has 8 visitor areas, 5 marinas, boat rentals, restaurants, hiking and biking trails, and 8 developed campgrounds. There are also three “National Recreation Trails” including the Historic Railroad Trail, River Mountain Loop Trail and Black Canyon Water.
