Alpine View Campground SHASTA-TRINITY NATIONAL FOREST California

Alpine View Overview

Alpine View Campground Restroom

Alpine View Campground has 54 campsites next to Trinity Lake and close to where the East Fork Stuart Fork River enters the lake. Both single-family and multi-family sites are available. Several campsites and restrooms are accessible (ADA).

This scenic campground has three loops (A, B and C) with sites that wind through a grove of Douglas fir and cedar with an understory of ferns. Some sites in Loops A and B have a view of Trinity Lake. C Loop is closed and, by the looks of it, there are no plans to open it in the near future.

Campground amenities include paved roads, NON potable water (boil to drink), vault/flush toilets and trash collection. The Bowerman boat ramp is also located 1/4 mile down the road. Cell service is poor in the area.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 32 feet). Each site has a paved parking spur, table, fire ring and grill. Most sites also have a bear-proof food storage locker.

Other campgrounds in the area include Preacher Meadow, Trinity River, Hayward Flat, Minersville, Bushytail and Fawn.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, kayaking, canoeing, paddle-boarding, fishing, swimming, water sports, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
