Anthony Chabot Regional Park campground has 75 campsites for tents, trailers and RVs (up to 35 feet). Twelve campsites have full hookups and 10 of the campsites are walk-in/tent only.  The campground is large and spread out among a grove of large eucalyptus trees on hills overlooking Lake Chabot. Group camping is also available (7 group campsites).

Most campsites are quite spacious with ample room between neighbors. Campsites 1 to 12 have RV hookups (sewage, water, 30-amp electric, 35-foot maximum length). Campsites 13-22 are walk-in sites. Each site (excluding the walk-in sites) has a paved parking pad, campfire ring, BBQ grill and table.  The campground has an amphitheater, drinking water, flush toilets, hot showers and an RV dump station.  Firewood is also available for sale here.

Do u have to have camping reservations to use camper tank dumping station

    • Hi Judith,
Most likely you need to be a camper to use the RV dump station at the campground. You can confirm by calling the Anthony Chabot Regional Park directly at:888-327-2757

    Hello
we are french and we wish to reserve a site for a large tent this summer from July 25 to July 28 2019 (3 nights). We are seven persons and we need electricity.
is it possible to book a place ? How much is it ? Thanks you very much…

    • Nathalie,

Yes, you can make reservations at Anthony Chabot Regional Park for tent camping. There are only 12 sites that have electricity (campsites 1-12). These sites actually have ‘full hookups’ (electricity, water and sewer) and are more expensive than the other standard (no hookups/electricity) sites in the campground.

If you intend to arrive on July 25, then the first day you can try and make a reservation is 6 months prior – or on January 25. I would recommend you try to get your reservation on January 25 at 8AM Pacific Standard Time (U.S. / California), because campsites will be booked quickly and may sell out within the first few hours on Jan 25.

You can click on the ‘MAKE A RESERVATION’ button on the Anthony Chabot Regional Park campground page. This will link you to ReserveAmerica where you can check availability, pricing and make a reservation.

Our trailer is 26 feet and our truck is 19 feet. Can we park them side by side?

  4. Why is it not possible to book a full hook up for the 14th of May 2019? It seems not to be reserved?

  5. Laura Douglas Gibbs says:

What is the distance between the parking and campsite 18? It says hike-in. Thank you!

  6. Michelle D says:

Does site 74 have a steep drop off toward the lake? Is there enough space for 2-3 tents in a flat area? We have kids with us and the location is beautiful but makes me nervous

    • Hi Michelle Campsite #74 is level/flat and has room for 2-4 small/medium sized tents (depending on the size of the tents). Can’t recall how steep the drop off is (to the lake) to the side/behind of the campsite, but it looks like there is a bit of a slope. Not a cliff though.
