Arroyo Seco campground has 40 campsites and is located along the Arroyo Seco River in the Los Padres National Forest. Campsites have great views of the Ventana Wilderness and can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. There are two camp loops, the first one has flush toilets, showers and drinking water. The 2nd loop is more primitive and has vault toilets and water. A group campsite is also available. Cell service is not available.
The area offers a variety of outdoor activities including swimming and tubing in the river, hiking, mountain biking, ATVing, picnicking, hunting and horseback riding. You can also fish, kayak and canoe in the small (seasonal) lake near the campground. Rock Creek has a few nice swimming holes and also opportunities to float in a tube when the water is high enough. Wildlife viewing is also nice in the area.

Is this campsite permanently closed? We love it there.
Hi Karen,
Arroyo Seco Campground remains closed because roads in the area are still damaged/closed from last year’s storms. The forest service does not provide any date on when the roads/campground may be open again. As a result the campground is ‘closed until further notice’.
