Belknap Overview

Belknap Campground Sign

Belknap Campground has 15 tent-only campsites set among a grove of giant sequoia trees next to Belknap Creek in the Sequoia National Forest. The Middle Fork of the Tule River is also within walking distance of this beautiful campground.

This is a tent-only campground (trailers not permitted), although small camper vans can park in the parking spurs. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grill. Campfire permits required for campfires, barbeques, and camp stoves. You can have up to 6 people per site. Amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. Cell service is not available in the area.

Area Recreation & Activities

Popular outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

Other campgrounds in the area include Coy Flat and Quaking Aspen.

  1. Gorgeous campground set around huge sequoia trees. Site 15 is close to the water and shares the site with a massive tree. Site 14 has big boulders, still nice. Follow the trail next to those two to find an old cabin.
