Berger Campground has 9 (reservable) campsites next to a seasonal creek in the shadow of the Sierra Buttes. Packer Lake is less than a mile away from the campground. Campsites can accommodate tents and small trailers/RVs.

Amenities include vault toilets. Piped water is not available. Cell service is also not available. Each campsite has a table, fire ring and grill. Food storage lockers (bear boxes) are also available.

Area Recreation & Activities

A large network of trails is available in the area, including Deer Lake Trail. This 2.9-mile trail is open to hiking, horseback riding and mountain biking. The Pacific Crest Trail can also be accessed nearby. Many lakes in the area offer fishing. Canoeing and paddeling is available on nearby Packer Lake. Other activities include hunting, picnicking, backpacking, climbing, OHV trail riding and wildlife viewing.

Other campgrounds in the area include Packsaddle, Diablo, Salmon Creek and Sardine Lake.
