Big Meadow(s) Campground is located in a remote area of the Sequoia National Forest and has 38 campsites in a forested area near a creek. Large meadows and high granite mountains are also in the area.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. There are 30 single-family sites and 8 double-family sites. Each campsite also has parking spur (ranging from 30 to 60 feet), table, fire ring, grill and food storage box.
Amenities include vault toilets and trash collection. Potable (drinking) water is not available. Firewood is also available to purchase from the camp host. Cell service is not available in the area.
Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park is also nearby as well as the following campgrounds: Ten Mile, Landslide, Logger Flat Group, Aspen Hollow Group, Buck Rock, Horse Camp and Hume Lake. Big Meadows Cabin is also available nearby and offers a few rental cabins.
Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
Hiking into the Jennie Lakes Wilderness and fly fishing in Big Meadows Creek are popular options. Horseback riders have access to the nearby Horse Corral Pack Station. Numerous trailheads provide access to popular wilderness areas including Jennie Lakes, Monarch and National Park wilderness destinations. Guests looking for water activities can also visit Hume Lake, only 15 miles away.
