Big Rock Campground has 7 campsites and is located in a secluded area of the Angeles National Forest on the backside of the San Gabriel Mountains. Campsites are a bit small and uneven and are best suited for tent camping or small trailers. Each campsite has a table, fire ring and grate. The campground also has vault toilets. No drinking water is available.
The area offers some great wildlife viewing opportunities. There’s also hiking and horseback riding trails. There are also some nice OHV trails in the area. Other outdoor recreation includes picnicking and stargazing.
Other campgrounds in the area include Sycamore Flats and South Fork. Saddleback Butte State Park is also about 25 miles away.
