Boca Rest Campground has 39 campsites and is located on the northeastern shore of Boca Reservoir in the Tahoe National Forest. The Little Truckee River is also nearby.
Campsites are scattered in an area dotted with sagebrush and a few pine trees. A few campsites are right along the waterfront (when the reservoir is high). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. Firewood is also available to purchase from the camp host. Cell service is fair in the area.
Other campgrounds in the area include Boca Spring (1/4 mile), Boyington Mill (1 mile), Boca (2 miles), Logger (4 miles), Prosser Family (5 miles) and Lakeside-Truckee (5 miles).
Outdoor recreation includes boating, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, paddle-boarding, swimming, water sports, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, ATV trail riding and picnicking. Wildlife viewing is also pretty good in the area.
