Bothe-Napa Valley State Park Campground has 53 total campsites set among some nice oak trees on a hillside next to Napa Valley. There are 18 tent only sites and also 10 yurt sites. Group camping is also available. Each campsite has a table, fire ring/grill and food storage locker. Most of the sites have nice shade. The campground has a campfire center, picnic area, horseshoe pit, drinking water, flush toilets, showers, an RV dump station. Firewood is also for sale from the campground host. Pets are allowed at the park, but they must be on a leash. Cell service is fair in the area.
Bothe-Napa Valley State Park includes 2,000 acres and offers quiet and seclusion on the edge of the Napa Valley wine country. Visitors can follow hiking trails along a stream or climb to a vantage point on Coyote Peak at 1170′. Trails also lead to nearby Bale Grist Mill State Historic Park, as well as a grove of redwoods. The park does not have the typical redwood groves as found in coastal areas.
Sugarloaf Ridge State Park is also nearby. It’s about 25 miles away and has 48 campsites.

Can bring the dog to the Bothe-Napa Valley State Park Campground?
Yes you may – but the dog (and all pets) must be on a leash.
Your website says the max trailer length is 25′. How strict is that? We’ve found that our 28′ Airstream can be tucked almost anywhere…
Hi Ruth, CampsitePhotos.com is not associated with any of the parks/campgrounds listed on our site. We provide the photos of each campsite and general camping information. I’d recommend you call Bothe-Napa Valley State Park directly to ask about the maximum trailer length and if a 28′ trailer would be okay. The number is: 707 942-4575
How are the fires over there?
Hi Laurie,
Bothe-Napa Valley State Park is open (including the campground). It has intermittent smoke at the park from 5 active fires in the area. Air quality conditions vary throughout the day. You can also call the park to get he latest: (707) 942-4575
Do you not have photos of Sites 17 & 18 to share? Seems to be missing from the photo gallery…
Hi Kate,
For some reason our photographer did not get photos of those sites. Sometimes the site occupants prefer no picture be taken of their vehicle/gear. Sorry about that.
Favorite campsites are not starred in the photo grid. Can that be fixed?
Hi Steven,
Thanks so much for pointing that out. It has been fixed – and our favorite/best campsites are starred in the photo grid.
