Buck Rock Campground has 8 primitive and large first-come first-serve campsites set in a forested area of Sequoia National Forest. The spacious campsites are a few miles down a forest (dirt) road and offer a quiet camping area. It is also near Big Meadow Creek, Buck Rock Lookout and trails that lead into the Jennie Lakes Wilderness. Other dispersed campsites are also available in the area.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 60 feet). Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grill. Amenities include one vault toilet. Water is not available and trash services are not available (please pack out). The area is also frequented by bears, but bear boxes are not provided. Cell service is not available in the area.
Other campgrounds in the area include Horse Camp and Big Meadow. Kings Canyon National Park (Visitor Center) is also just 13 miles away.
Outdoor recreation in the area includes hiking, horseback riding, OHV trail riding, mountain biking, stargazing, picnicking an wildlife viewing.
