Buckhorn Campground is located next to Black Butte Lake and has 93 campsites, including 5 walk to (tent-only) campsites. Group camping is also available. It is open year-round.

Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot-water showers, trash collection and a dump station. There’s also a 2 playgrounds, an exercise area, boat ramp and trailer parking next to the campground.  Cell service is fair in the area. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. There are no hookups. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Trailers are not allowed in campsites 28, 29, 33 and 34. Sites 66-92 do not have any facilities (water or restrooms). The walk-to campsites are 23 to 27 (about 200 feet from parking area).

Orland Buttes Campground is nearby (3 miles) and Sycamore Grove Campground is also 25 miles away.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, water skiing, jet skiing, swimming, paddle-boarding, swimming, horeshoes, hiking, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.  An 18 hole disc golf course can also be accessed across from the Orland Buttes Campground. Horeseback riders can make use of the horse trails at Grizzly Flat and Burris Creek.
