Bushytail Campground has 14 spacious campsites (12 with water & electric hookups) and is located among mature Ponderosa pine and Douglas fir in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. There are 4 single campsites, 2 ADA single-family campsites, and additional double and triple family campsites.

Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, showers and trash collection.  Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (36 to 90 feet).

All campsites have bear-proof food lockers, tables, pedestal grills, drinking water and fireplaces. There is one group social area with serving table, group barbeque pit, group pedestal grill, and bear locker. The Trinity Lake boat ramp is about a mile from the campground. Cell service is not available in the area.

Other campgrounds in the area include Preacher Meadow, Ackerman, Cooper Gulch, Tannery, Stoney Point and Minersville.

Bushytail – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, fishing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, water sports, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. The historic town of Lewiston is also just a few miles away.
