Cal-Ida Campground has 19 nice campsites located right along the North Yuba River in the Tahoe National Forest. Keep your eyes out for otters and they have been re-introduced to the river a few years back. There’s also a nice swimming hole right by campsite #17!
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Most sites have nice shade from oak, maple and locust trees. Each site also has a table, food storage box, fire ring and grate. Amenities include potable (drinking) water and vault toilets.
Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, horseback riding, hunting, mountain biking, OHV trail riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Seasonal kayaking and rafting are also popular in the area.
Other campgrounds in the area include Carlton, Fiddle Creek, Rocky Rest, Ramshorn, Union Flat and Indian Valley.
