Camp 4 Overview

Camp 4 018

Historic Camp 4 has 36 sweet tent-only campsites (only 25 open in winter) and is located on some prime real estate in Yosemite Valley.  It is also on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). All campsites are walk-to and just a short stroll to/from the parking lot next to the campground (no sleeping in vehicles).

Camp 4 is currently on PER PERSON reservations which release one week in advance. You must indicate the number of people at the time the reservation is made (6 people max). From October through April the campsites are first-come first-serve.

Campground amenities include drinking water, a community sink and flush toilets. Each campsite also has a table, food storage locker (35″ deep x 43″ wide x 28″ high) and fire ring (no grill). You can pick up supplies/groceries at the store in Yosemite Village. Showers are also available at Curry Village and Housekeeping Camp. There is a shuttle stop next to the campground. Cell service is fair in the area.
