Canyon View Group Sites Overview

Canyon View Group G12

Canyon View Group campground has 16 large group campsites for tents only. It is located in Kings Canyon National Park along the South Fork of the Kings River. No trailer or RV camping is allowed. The campground is generally open late spring through late Fall.

There are 4 large group sites (A-D) and 12 mid-sized group sites (G1-G12). The group campsites  also have several tables, food storage lockers and fire rings.  Amenities include drinking water and flush toilets. There’s also a store, snack bar, showers and laundry facilities located at Cedar Grove Village. Cell service is poor in the area.

Canyon View Group – Area Recreation

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, horseback riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Nearby attractions include Hume Lake, Mist Falls, Zumwalt Meadow, Roaring River Falls and a number of hiking trails.

Other campgrounds in the area include Moraine, Sheep Creek, Sentinel and Convict Flat.
