Caswell Memorial State Park Campground is located along the Stanislaus River and offers 64 single-family campsites for smaller RVs (up to 24 feet), trailers and tents. One group campsite is also available.
Each campsite has a paved parking spur, table and fire ring. Most campsites also have grills. Amenities include drinking water, flush toilets and hot showers ($). Firewood is also available for sale from the campground host.
Located near the town of Ripon, the 258-acre Caswell Memorial State Park has been home to Native Americans and even Spanish explorers since the early 1800s. Today visitors can enjoy exploring an endangered riparian oak woodland and numerous historic site. Other activities include campfire programs, picnicking, fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, biking and hiking. Wildlife viewing is also popular in the area.
Turlock Lake State Recreation Area is just 43 miles away. It has 62 campsites available for tents, trailers and RVs.
