Cattle Camp Overview

Cattle Camp Campground has 27 campsites for RVs, trailers and tents close to the Upper McCloud River on the east side of Mt. Shasta.  Each campsite has a paved parking spur, table, fire ring/grill and food storage locker. Many of the campsites are large (RVs up to 35 feet)  and four of the campsites are ‘double’ sites.  Cattle Camp Campground is first-come first-served and has drinking water and vault toilets.  The campground is open year-round (weather permitting), but the drinking water is shut off during the winter.

The McCloud River offers excellent fishing and fly fishing. There’s also a few swimming holes and waterfalls nearby and over 15 miles of riverside trails. Other outdoor activities include hiking, biking, photography and wildlife viewing.

Fowlers Campground is also nearby. It is 6 miles away and has 39 campsites for tents, trailers and RVs.
