China Camp State Park (Black Ranch Meadows) Campground has 31 walk-in tent-only campsites and 1 group site. The campsites are located about 1/2 to 1 mile from the parking area. Most campsites have great shade. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring/grill and food locker. The campground has a parking area, flush toilets, showers and drinking water.
China Camp State Park was once the site of a thriving fishing village on San Pablo Bay. Today, you can visit the historic remains of the village and also 1,640 acres of natural watershed along the shores of San Francisco Bay. The park also features extensive inter-tidal, salt marsh, meadow and oak habitats that are home to a variety of wildlife. Outdoor activities include hiking, biking, boating, kayaking, horseback riding, fishing, windsurfing, swimming, geocaching, picnicking, wild viewing and visit the historic village and other sites in the park.
China Camp SP has three reservable picnic sites. Buckeye Point and Weber Point are day use areas situated along San Pablo Bay with views of the water. They can accommodate up to 50 people per site. Each site has BBQs, picnic tables and flush toilets.
Miwok Meadows Picnic Area is a grassy meadow among Oak and Bay woodlands. It has BBQs, picnic tables, a horseshoe toss area, and chemical toilets (no running water). It can accommodate up to 200 people.

Samuel P. Taylor State Park is also in the area. It’s about 20 miles away and has 61 campsites in a dense old-growth redwood forest. Angels Island State Park also has some amazing tent campsites (ferry required to get to the island).
