Chris Flat Overview
Chris Flat campground has 15 single family campsites and is located right along the Walker River at an elevation of 6,600 feet. One group campsite is also available. A few sites are right along the river and have great views of the water.
Amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. Firewood is also available for sale from the camp host. Cell service is not available in the area.
Chris Flat – Area Recreation
The Walker River has some might fine trout fishing and is stocked regularly with trout. Other activities include hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
Bootleg campground is also about 2 miles north off of Highway 395.

Very clean little campground on the Walker River. Some sites will accommodate medium size rigs—maybe 35 ft.
Lots of space between sites. Really nice old campground.
