College Campground Sierra National Forest California

College Overview

College campground is located next to Huntington Lake and has 10 tent-only campsites in a meadow setting and among pine trees. Campsites 3 and 5 are double sites, and sites 1 and 4 are accessible (ADA). Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate. Food storage lockers are also available.

Campground amenities include drinking water, vault and flush toilets.  The campground is usually open late May through September. Visitors also have the option of mooring their boats nearby some of the sites. Cell service is fair.

College – Area Recreation

The Huntington Lake area offers a variety of outdoor activities including fishing, boating, sailing, swimming, hiking, biking, horseback riding, wildlife viewing and exploring the historic sites in the area. The lake also has a marina and boat rentals. There are a few stores and restaurants in the area. You may also want to check out the museum that is next to the campground. It features displays and information about the early Native American inhabitants in the area.

Other campgrounds around Huntington Lake include Catavee, Deer Creek, Kinnikinnick, Lower Billy Creek, Upper Billy Creek and Rancheria.
