Crane Flat Overview

Crane Flat Campground in Yosemite National Park has 166 campsites set under towering red firs, lodgepole pines and sugar pines.  The campground was completely refurbished (2021-2024) and is about 17 miles from Yosemite Valley. Most of the campsites are for best for tent camping but some work for RVs (up to 35 feet)to 27 feet). Hookups are not available.

The campground has is set up in 5 loops. Each loop has restrooms (flush toilets) and drinking water. The campsites also have a table, fire ring, grill and food storage locker. There’s also an amphitheater and camp hosts at the campground. Cell service is not available.

Each campsite can have up to 2 vehicles (trailers don’t count as a vehicle. All vehicle’s wheels must be on the paved parking surface. Overflow parking is also available in each loop

The campground is a good location for jumping down to Yosemite Valley or up to Tuolumne Meadows (about 20 miles). A gas station and general store are also located nearby.

World famous Yosemite National Park offers spectacular scenery and amazing outdoor recreation including hiking, biking, kayaking, photography, climbing, horseback riding, nature exhibits, museums, camping and wildlife viewing.
