Crystal Cove State Park Beach Cottages Campground Crystal Cove State Park California

Crystal Cove State Park Beach Cottages Overview

002 Cottage Crystal Cove State Beach

Crystal Cove State Park Beach Cottages are located in a 12-acre costal area along Los Trancos Creek and overlooking beautiful Crystal Cove. There are 46 vintage rustic cottages and 19 available for overnight rental. Many of the cottages are also right on the beach.

The cabins are the last remaining examples of early 20th century Southern California coastal development. The overnight rental cottages include studios, 1-2 bedroom houses, and hostel-style dormitories. Other cottages are being restored and should also be available for rent in the near future.

The cottages available for rent include 1, 2, 14, 16, 18, 19A, 19B, 24, 27, 29, 32, 33, 37, 38, 39, 40 and 45. Beachfront cottages include 1, 2, 14, 16, 19, 24, 27, and 40.  Lodge style cottages (with private rooms) include 29, 38 and 39.

California State Parks manages the historic district and provides cottages for visitor services, educational and community programs and a restaurant. There is also a gift shop in the historic district. A shuttle bus service will also transport you from the parking lot to your cottage.

  1. Maria Mejia says:

If you’re looking for a romantic getaway this is the place! You will have to be ready to reserve this place the minute it opens up. I mean have your finger on the cursor the second a spot becomes available. It’s really hard to book a spot! You won’t be disappointed, however if you are lucky enough to get in. Cottage 33 is lovely and for the money it’s more than a bargain. Just try and find a house on the beach for this price outside of the state park system- impossible! Plan at least two nights to enjoy the cottage and the shoreline. There is a deck with a table and chairs, perfect for a meal outdoors. The sound of the ocean waves and the amazing sunset will provide a perfect background for a romantic evening.

  2. Do you have a photo of Cottage 40? I see 39 in there twice. But nothing for 40. Thanks!
