Dripping Springs Comments & Reviews
Visited Dripping Springs Campground lately? We'd love to hear about your adventure. Did you find us useful? Did we forget something? Anything our community should know before heading out to Dripping Springs?
You used to have maps showing where bathrooms are!
Hi Sherry,
We just updated Dripping Springs campground page, but unfortunately we don’t have a campground map and could not find one to include. Sorry about that.
Wonderful photos, so helpful! I noticed that the photo marked Site 14, is actually Site 15. You are missing a photo of the actual Site 14.
Thanks Jakkie for pointing that out! We will get it corrected.
I first have to say that I love this website, but the downside of this specific campground is that the photos provided here are not up to date. We booked Site 19, and it looked absolutely nothing like it does in the photo shown. There was a chopped up and burnt to a crisp tree (that no longer arched over the road) and there were almost no bushes or trees between the site and the road right next to it, contrary to the photo. It was a terrible (and tiny) campsite and we luckily were able to switch to a better site (#18) nearby. Needless to say, most of the sites at this campground are right next to the road and none of them (except for a few) feel very private.
Also, there was a dog barking non-stop all night long at the property near the site, which interfered with the sounds of the surrounding nature making it very difficult to sleep. Aside from that, if you get one of the good sites it’s not a bad campground to visit for a night just to get away.
Hi Tom,
Thanks for your support and the review of Dripping Springs. Also thanks for a reminder that we need to update the campsite photos (sorry they were not representative of current sites). A fire did burned through the area a few years back. I’ll try and schedule a photographer reshoot in the next few weeks and we will post new photos.
