Ellery Creek Overview

Ellery Creek campground is another one on the McCloud Arm of Lake Shasta and has 19 single-family campsites in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and  RVs. Each campsite also has a table, food locker, fire ring, grate and paved parking spur.

It is a popular campground because boats can be moored on the shore within sight of the campground. The campground also has drinking water and flush toilets.

Ellery Creek – Lake Shasta Area Recreation

Lake Shasta has 365 miles of shoreline and the Shasta-Trinity National Forest encompasses hundreds of mountain lakes and over 6,200 miles of streams and rivers. Outdoor recreation on the water includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming and a variety of other sports. On the land visitors can also enjoy backpacking, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Lake Shasta Caverns is also located on theMcCloud Arm of the lake.

Other campgrounds in the area include Hirz Bay, Moore Creek, Pine Point and McCloud Bridge.
